Final processing of pistachios for Iranian Pistachio marketing

This processing step is mainly done in the USA and unfortunately it is not common in our country. Removal of deformed, peeled, smudged and moldy pistachios using eyes or automatic devices.

Hollow or semi-hollow pistachios by air Unripe pistachios are isolated by immersion in water. Then, half-empty smiling pistachios are separated by air. Unsmiling pistachios are separated by immersion in water. Then the nailed pistachio is broken by a smile and its kernel is sold.
