Narratives on how to grow fruit trees
نوشته شده توسط : علی سلطانی

Iranian myths also narrate how to grow fruit trees. According to the narration in the book Iranian Pistachio of Nowruznameh (attributed to Hakim Omar Khayyam), Kiomars was the first person to plant seedlings of fruit trees in the garden. But Minhaj Siraj, an Iranian historian and author of the book Tabaqat Naseri, says:

Zuban Tahmasb - who according to a tradition was Sam Nariman - brought many trees and fruits of all kinds from the mountains and planted a shield of sorrow. The Torah also mentions pistachios (chapter 43 of Genesis). Take it as a gift.

Among these gifts are honey, tragacanth and pistachios. The word pistachio mentioned in the Torah without any doubt refers to the fruit of another tree from the family of pistachio trees called (Ban), which due to the similarity of its fruit to pistachio, the Syrians called it Bastiqi. (Jorjani, Khwarezmshahi Reserve, Book 3, Section 2, p. 72, further explanation in this section is under the title (rooting the word pistachio)).
