Psyllophagus bees are the natural enemy of pests
نوشته شده توسط : علی سلطانی

The psyllophagus is one of the most important natural enemies of the psyllid. The bee Iranian Pistachio psylaphagus attacks all ages of psyllid nymphs, and the bee pups grow well inside the body of the psyllid nymphs. Features of this bee has high search power and finds its host quickly.

The psyllophagus bee spends the winter inside the mummified psyllid nymphs on the leaves of the pistachio tree as pupae. The leaves fall off in the fall, resulting in bee pupae inside the mummified nymph. The nymph also falls off along with the leaves. Begins its reproduction.

Since it is not possible to breed and release this beneficial bee, so the only possible way to support these beneficial insects is by doing less spraying and using low-risk pesticides for bees and proper farming operations in the garden. Preserving these beneficial insects is recommended to do proper plowing.

Plowing is said to be done between rows and to remain intact along the crown of the tree, where the leaves usually contain psyllophagous pupae.
