Pistachio is one of the most successful plants imported to America in the Iranian Pistachio twentieth century. Pistachio, native to West Asia, Asia Minor, is a place where large wild habitats are still found in the hot and dry conditions of Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iran, Iraq, India and southern Europe, and the desert countries of Asia and Africa.
Pistachios entered Europe early in the beginning of AD. The first introduction of pistachios to the United States by the USDA (Plant Identification Service) was in 1890. In 1904, he first arrived in California at the Chico California Plant Introduction Station in northern Sacramento Valley.
